Daily journal December 1, 2000, Lehigh University Art Show and outsider symposium.
After 13 hours I arrived at Bethlehem Pa. and on to Norman's House in Easton arriving at midnight. Early this morning we went to the University where final touches were being poured upon the show featuring the work of four artist including Norbert Kox with his Bible code painting and a mockup of the Statue of Liberty featuring a pig's face as being on Mother Mary. I'm trying to understand Norbert's work as I like it so very much and believe it is telling us where we stand in the world of religion and in the world of reality. Three other artist were featured including Mr. Imagination, Charlie Lucus, the tin man and Lonnie Holley, the latter two from Alabama. Lehigh is advanced in religious studies although Norbert's work is the only religious art in the show. The symposium began at 2:00 p.m. and we heard from speakers, Ms.Lee Kogan, curator of American Folk Art Museum in New York, Ms. Rebecca Hoffberger founder and director of the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore. Finally we heard from Tom Patterson, writer and lecturer from Winston-Salem N.C. who has written books on Finster and others. After all of this, I was invited to show about 70 slides in one carousel of my art paintings to this congregation after which we had dinner in one of the galleries as we prepared to be at the show opening. Side shows such as Elvis walking on stilts and hugging the girls sure was accommodating. A live statue stood at the entrance as braced with a white suit on and silver covering his face. This was an added attraction for all that attended and was quite amusing to watch and see. In the cold weather but clear, this part of the country is one I most want to explore more especially Quaker Town and all the Quaker people and the mennites that live here in this area of Pennsylvania. After the show closed at 9:00 p.m., we all went to Norman's House for a party. I am so happy to see some of my art hanging in his home and to meet his sons and his two brothers that came up from Atlanta for this event. I feel very honored to be here and feel very much in common with Norbert's art and message conveyed. It is said that Norbert's work will blow you away and I agee. Norbert has suggested we have a show together and I look forward to that event when and if it ever occurs. Meanwhile, I find that my art at the Gassaway Museum is now on my website showing featuring 60 works of the art I have at home. My journals are on line on the web for the purpose of daily prayer and scripture reading in addition to the describing of my art and my mission. With all religions in focus today in all of the world as growing further away from Christian, that is Christianity without Catholicism of the socalled mother church, I must reaffirm my devotion to God almighty through the Christ, the Lord and say that I will never ever denounce my faith in the truth Christian Church.
I will witness to the world faith with my art, the message of Christ the Lord according to my conscious and conviction. We live in a time when most people or a slave to Satan and we are all threatened to believe that things are going well that are unGodly. People are ignorant of government and of church and with no concept whatsoever of all the real conditions of our time. We are all slave to the airways and of all the propaganda being produced to deceive us. Bobby Kennedy is quoted as saying that all nations are religious and he was right. We are a religious nation but not a Christian nation. We are a nation of false religion and the battle for our minds is ever on to cloud the way until that day when Armageddon will be fulfilled in our land. I pray for the salvation of every soul. Joel 3-1"For,behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the".
